Time to Upgrade the Refrigeration in your Old Vending Machine
- How to upgrade the refrigeration in my old vending machine?
- How to make my vending machine more energy efficient?
- How to save vending machine bill?
These are some of the most common questions vending operators find themselves asking. After all, you have these machines running 24/7 and throughout the year, so it’s only natural that you’re concerned about reducing your bill while also ensuring that your vending machine operates in an environmentally friendly way.
If you’re running a snack vending machine that’s over 4 years old, chances are it is still using the outdated R134A refrigerant (cooling gas). Things have changed now – R134A is no longer considered an environmental-friendly option as this type of gas gradually leaks into the atmosphere, with a global warming potential of 1430. What this means is that every kilogram of R134A released into the atmosphere is the equivalent of 1430 kilograms of CO2 (carbon dioxide) in terms of global warming.
Upgrading to a more modern type of refrigerant not only helps you lower your carbon footprint but also improves energy efficiency across the board – so you either get the same cooling or better, with the added benefit of protecting the environment as well as you staff and customers – while lowering your annual vending machine bill.
How we upgrade your old snack vending machine with new refrigerant
Our solution for old snack vending machines is a Peltier fridge. Also referred to as a thermoelectric refrigerator or thermoelectric cooler, it is a kind of refrigerator which utilises the Peltier effect to create cooling. Named after Jean Charles Athanase Peltier, the French physicist who invented it in 1834, the Peltier effect occurs when electric current passes through two different conductors: one junction absorbs heat while the other releases it.
The two dissimilar semiconductors in a thermoelectric module (TEM) found in a Peltier fridge is sandwiched perfectly between two ceramic plates. When a direct voltage (DC or direct current) passes through this module, it will absorb heat on one side (the interior of the fridge) and releases heat through the other side (the exterior of the fridge). When the temperature difference is created across the module, one side has cooling while the other has heating. It’s the same principle you see working in modern fridges, refrigerators, and split air-conditioner units.
To offer you unmatched savings and help you protect the environment, as well as the people working in and visiting your business space, we replace the old R134A units in old snack vending machines with the latest Peltier cooling units. Enjoy exceptional cost-savings, higher energy efficiency, and even better cooling, in some cases.
Installation is quick, hassle-free, and non-intrusive. Take your vending and your business to the next level by offering a more reliable, environmentally friendly, and energy efficient vending solution to your users.
