Direct Chill System ...

  DIRECT-CHILL SYSTEM

The water passes through a stainless-steel coil that is, itself, in contact with a copper evaporator coil, which contains the refrigerant gas.

By conduction, the cold emitted by the refrigerant gas is transferred to the coil in which the water is flowing, but without touching the water at all. The water, in turn, becomes chilled.

The stainless-steel coil through which the water passes is not directly connected to the copper coil, thus making it impossible, even in the case of a breakdown, for the gas to mix with the water.

Direct chill is a simple, practical and highly effective way to chill water rapidly.
Its principal advantage over other cooling systems is that the water flows continuously through the system, rather than sitting waiting to be dispensed, and so bacterial proliferation - a constant bugbear of other cooling systems - is no longer an issue.

The bottle stand and rack from Peak are both finished in white for a clean, neutral look which will suit any environment.
